Modal is a bio-based cellulosic fiber made out of from the beech tree. The trees are completely natural source of raw material as the beechwood forests self- rejuvenate. It is considered a semi-synthetic because the raw material, cellulose, is a natural material which then turns into fiber using an environmentally- friendly chemical process. The fabrics made from modal are breathable and incredibly soft.
